WB Aussies |
Our awesome aussies
In 2007 we got our standard Australian Shepherd, Dixie. When I first saw her on Christmas morning, she was the best thing I had ever laid eyes on.
She was so shy, she wouldn't come up to us unless we were lying on the ground with her. We bonded immediately, and I have never had a more precious feeling than having that sweet innocent puppy trust me enough to fall asleep in my lap.
Dixie, named after the movie recently watched by our family previous to her arrival, is a true Winn Dixie. Always finding a way and getting into mischief.
Although she is a spunky rough and tumble farm dog, our Dixie is a very sweet asset to our family. She is as loving as any mother, and as caring as a dog could be. When I'v had a rough day and I just can't take it any longer and break down to cry, Dixie is always there letting me lay with her, hugging her tight while she licks the tears from my cheeks.
Essie, our Miniature American Shepherd puppy joined the clan in March, 2014. She is also much loved and awaited for.
Known as CarrollSell's Estelle Rose in the showring, our pretty little puppy is a wonderful house/farm dog, following in the footsteps of her distantly related cousin, Dixie.
This darling little girl brings an uplifting spirit into any room she dubs worthy of her presence.
Essie loves racing Dixie outdoors, swimming, fetching, and will do nearly anything for a piece of kibble!
I am good friends with our breeder, and on the due date of Essie's litter I was asked to stop by her house and check up to see if there were any puppies yet. Well there were. There were eight little Mini Aussies. The majority of the litter was pushed to the other side of the devider panel. The poor babies were cold and very hungry. All servived though. I knew right from the start that the small red tri female was the one for me.
